Meet CroCube- the first Croatian satellite - a joint project of A3 and Spacemanic

Earlier this year, Adriatic Aerospace Association (A3) and Spacemanic signed a memorandum to support the efforts of building and launching the first Croatian satellite - CroCube

The satellite will be a 1U mission with an optical payload with a launch scheduled for Q3-Q4 of 2023.

The mission is going to be crowdfunded in full via a Croatian platform Croinvest

Spacemanic will act as hardware supplier, along with the help with launch services, and accompanying software and operations know-how.

This first Croatian project will be integrated, developed, and operated by Croatian engineers and the help of various scientific and technical institutions in Croatia.

Among the first partners is The Ruđer Bošković Institute, which is Croatia’s leading scientific institute in the natural and biomedical sciences. They will provide a clean room for integration.

Next is Algebra, an educational institution focused on software and development. The plan is to use their premises for the ground station and operations, as well as a place for the developers to program the satellite.

We will soon provide more details about this mission, therefore stay tuned!
