Spacemanic Partners with Amaranthine Books for a Cosmic Collaboration: The Monolith Edition of 2001: A Space Odyssey

Spacemanic Partners with Amaranthine Books for a Cosmic Collaboration: The Monolith Edition of 2001: A Space Odyssey

In a collaboration that blurs the lines between literature, art, and space exploration, Spacemanic has joined forces with the esteemed Croatian fine press publisher, Amaranthine Books. The result? The Monolith Edition of Arthur C. Clarke's iconic masterpiece, "2001: A Space Odyssey." This limited edition, letterpress-printed book is not just a literary work; it's an immersive journey into the cosmos, both on paper and beyond our atmosphere.

A Cosmic Concept: From Book to the Cosmos

The Monolith Edition comprises seven signed copies marked with Roman numerals, each a testament to the craftsmanship and creativity of the team at Amaranthine Books. Inspired by the four acts of the story, the edition encapsulates humanity's millennia-long voyage, punctuated by encounters with otherworldly intelligence.

Spacemanic's own, Daniela Jović lends her unique perspective on 2001: A Space Odyssey in the introduction, connecting the dots between the narrative and the cosmic ambitions of the project.

Here's the twist: these miniature monoliths are destined for space. Through a partnership with Spacemanic, a select number of these mini-monoliths will hitch a ride on an upcoming New Shepard mission by Blue Origin. After their cosmic sojourn, the monoliths will return to Earth, each accompanied by a certificate attesting to its spacefaring journey. The miniature monoliths will then be carefully integrated into the front covers of the books.

Embarking on the Cosmic Odyssey: Preorders and Beyond

The Monolith Edition is currently available for preorder via signup, with a special offer for lettered edition customers who have a history of supporting the craft. The production is set to conclude by the end of Q2 2024. However, the books will not be shipped until the miniature monoliths return from their interstellar adventure, adding an extra layer of anticipation and cosmic connection to this already extraordinary edition.

In the age where art, literature, and space exploration converge, The Monolith Edition stands as a testament to the boundless possibilities of human creativity.

As the pages of "2001: A Space Odyssey" unfold, so too does a cosmic journey that transcends the confines of Earth and literature, reaching for the stars in a way only possible through the imaginative collaboration of Spacemanic and Amaranthine Books.
